Our main focus in homeschooling is Deuteronomy 6:4-9. Which says:
Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.[a] Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.
I have let morning devotions go by the wayside in order to get my agenda accomplished and what has happened as a result? My agenda has not been being accomplished. This has happened before. Unfortunately, it seems to happen about once a quarter. (When, oh when, will I learn?!) This week we will be putting God back into His rightful place among our schooling. We will focus on God and if nothing else gets done during the day then so be it. The science, math, and language arts is secondary and unimportant if we fail to put Christ at the center of it all.
Do you ever lose sight of your priorities? Please tell me the longer you do it the easier it gets to stay focused! :)

If you are a blogger I would love for you to link up any motivational posts that you think my readers would enjoy. Linking back to The Straightened Path is appreciated but not required for participation. You may find my button under "share me" if you are interested.
